The short version

Revolutionary Plugins builds WordPress software that runs entirely on your own server. We do not insert tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or third-party analytics into the plugins you install, and we collect as little as possible about the people who visit our marketing site. This policy explains exactly what we gather, why, and the choices you have. Where this policy says "we" it means Revolutionary Plugins; where it says "you" it means a visitor or a licensed customer.

Our plugins are self-hosted and phone home only to check your license and fetch updates. Data your visitors generate (form entries, orders, comments) stays in your WordPress database, never ours.

1. Who we are

Revolutionary Plugins develops and sells a suite of WordPress plugins along with the theme that powers this site. We are the data controller for personal information collected through our site, checkout, and support channels. For data processed inside your own WordPress install by our plugins, you are the controller and we are, at most, a limited processor for license and update checks.

2. Information we collect

We keep collection deliberately narrow. Every category of personal data we touch, why, and how long we keep it:

  • Account details (name, email, password hash) - to create your account, deliver license keys, and let you log in. Kept until you delete your account, then 30 days.
  • Billing details (name, address, last four card digits) - to process payments and meet tax and accounting obligations. Kept 7 years, as required by law.
  • License activations (site URL, plugin version) - to validate your license and serve the correct updates. Kept for the life of the active license.
  • Support messages - to answer your questions and improve our docs. Kept 3 years from last contact.
  • Server logs (IP, user agent, requested URL) - for security, abuse prevention, and uptime diagnostics. Kept 14 days, then purged.

We do not buy data about you, we do not build advertising profiles, and we never sell your information to anyone.

3. How we use your information

  • Delivering the product - issuing license keys, serving updates, and keeping your account working.
  • Taking payment - processing renewals and refunds through our payment provider.
  • Supporting you - replying to tickets and emails you send us.
  • Keeping things secure - spotting abuse, fraud, and broken installs.
  • Telling you things you asked to hear - release notes and product news, only if you opted in.

We never repurpose data quietly. If we ever needed to use your information for something new and material, we would ask first.

4. What our plugins do (and do not do)

The plugins you install run on your infrastructure. The data your site collects - form submissions, store orders, forum posts, support tickets, testimonials - stays in your own database under your control. None of it is sent to us.

The only network calls our plugins make to our servers are:

  • A periodic license check that confirms your key is valid and how many sites it covers.
  • An update check that compares your installed version against the latest release.

Both calls include your site URL and the plugin version, nothing about your visitors. Revolutionary Captcha replaces Google reCAPTCHA with a self-hosted challenge, and Revolutionary SEO ships zero analytics or phone-home calls of its own.

5. Cookies and analytics

  • Essential cookies that keep you logged in and remember your cart at checkout.
  • A consent cookie that records your cookie preferences so we do not nag you on every page.

We use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics that count page views in aggregate without fingerprinting visitors or building profiles. We do not run advertising trackers, social pixels, or session replay. You can browse the whole site without ever accepting a non-essential cookie.

6. When we share data

We share personal data only with the small set of vendors that make the business run, and only the minimum each one needs:

  • Payment provider - to process card payments and renewals. Shared: name, email, billing address, card token.
  • Email provider - to send receipts, license keys, and opted-in updates. Shared: name, email.
  • Hosting provider - to run our site and license servers. Shared: anything stored, encrypted at rest.
  • Helpdesk - to manage and answer support tickets. Shared: name, email, message content.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we will only disclose it to authorities when a valid legal order compels us to. If our business is ever acquired, your data would transfer under the same protections, and we would notify you first.

7. How we protect your data

We encrypt traffic in transit with TLS and encrypt sensitive data at rest. Passwords are salted and hashed, never stored in plain text. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it and protected with multi-factor authentication. We patch quickly, keep audit logs, and design every feature to collect less rather than more.

No system is perfectly secure. In the unlikely event of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected customers and the relevant authority without undue delay, in line with applicable law.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access - get a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction - fix anything inaccurate.
  • Deletion - ask us to erase your data, subject to legal retention limits.
  • Portability - receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt out - unsubscribe from product emails at any time using the link in any message.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@revolutionaryplugins.com. We respond within 30 days. For details specific to EU and UK visitors, see our GDPR Compliance page.

9. Children

Our products and site are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our product and the law evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders. Continuing to use our site or plugins after an update means you accept the revised policy.

11. Contact us

Questions about privacy, or want to exercise a right? Reach us at privacy@revolutionaryplugins.com and we will get back to you promptly. We read every message ourselves.
