Revolutionary License Server · version 0.16.7
Your own plugins. Your own license server.
and keep what you earn.
Sell a WordPress plugin or theme with real licensing: a checkout, a license key, an activation limit, automatic updates, and a customer account area, all running on your own site. No marketplace cut, no third-party SaaS holding your customer data.
- Stripe or Square checkout, one-time or recurring, on your own domain
- Upload a release zip and it is live; point a slug at a Gitea or GitHub repo and it syncs on every push
- License keys and payment secrets encrypted at rest, never emailed in plain text

Released version 0.16.7
What the current release includes
Manage licenses, activation limits, products, subscription checkout and software updates.
- The customer account and checkout success screen use the theme color mode and the Revolutionary Plugins brand.
- The revolutionary_version shortcode reads the published product version from the release source.
Why it exists
Selling a plugin should not mean building a second product.
A license key, a checkout, an update feed and a customer who can manage their own subscription are the parts every paid WordPress plugin needs and almost none of them are what the plugin is actually for. Revolutionary License Server is that other product, already built.
See it in action
Six screens between a line of code and a paying customer.
Define what you sell, decide how releases reach it, and let the licensing and billing run themselves.

Pillar 1
Sell it
A checkout that takes payment and issues a license, without sending a customer to a third-party store.
Pillar 2
License it
A license key is worth nothing if issuing, activating and revoking one takes a developer. Here it takes a click.
Pillar 3
Update it
The part your customers actually feel: a plugin that tells WordPress an update is ready, and hands it over only to a valid license.
Pillar 4
Keep it honest
The endpoints a license server exposes are exactly the ones an attacker would try first. They are built assuming that.

Upload releases from the browser, sync a repo
A Releases screen takes a zip upload with the version read from its own header, plus Repository Sources, which keeps a Gitea or GitHub-backed product synced on every push.
Bulk Generate and customer self-service
Create up to 500 licenses in one run, import and export by CSV, and let customers deactivate their own sites from their account page.
Real products, and Square
Hardcoded tiers became editable Products, Square joined Stripe as a second processor, and license keys and payment secrets are now encrypted at rest.
Yearly plans with a site limit
Three plans, each covering every plugin and theme in your bundle and differing only in how many sites a license may activate, with the Stripe billing portal and the server staying in sync.
Vulnerability lookups
A daily Wordfence Intelligence feed, matched against your licensed sites' installed versions, with the same version logic the Wordfence scanner itself uses.
No. Checkout, payment, licensing and the customer account area are all built in. Stripe or Square handle the card.
Yes. Each product is its own row with its own price and activation limit, and the Releases screen tracks a separate version history per product slug.
They call this server's update endpoint with their license key. It reads your licensing tables directly, no external mirror, and serves the matching release.
Their sites keep working on the version they have; the license stops passing update and activation checks until it is renewed.
No. Emails link to the customer's account page, where the key is shown. A plain-text key never sits in an inbox.
Yes, from the Releases screen. Or point the product at a Gitea or GitHub repo and a webhook keeps it synced automatically.
